Lyon has hosted the French Chapter of ISKO twice: the first time in 1999, with the theme “Indexing in the Age of the Internet”, and the second time in 2009. This 7th ISKO-France Conference (“Collective Intelligence and Knowledge Organization”) addressed this issue by focusing on the societal dimensions of knowledge organization in relation to the emergence of the so-called “social” web.
Following in the footsteps of these previous conferences, the 13th ISKO-France Conference in Lyon aims to provide researchers with a space for reflection on the social dimension of knowledge organization in light of the widespread adoption of digital technologies within society, while not being limited exclusively to this perspective.
